Define neutral point in the magnetic field of a bar magnet.

Neutral point in a magnetic field is a point at which the resultant magnetic field is zero. At this point, the magnetic field intensity due to the given bar magnet is exactly equal and opposite to the horizontal component of the earth’s magnetic field. That is why, a compass needle does not indicate any proper direction at this point.
