GTA VI first trailer released early due to online leaks

The first trailer of the highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto VI has been finally released on official Rockstar Games YouTube channel (@RockstarGames). The GTA VI trailer was originally scheduled to be released on Tuesday at 9 am ET (5 December). However, it released early because it was leaked on social media platform X.

GTA VI coming 2025

Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) posted on X, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”

The GTA series is renowned for its immersive open-world gameplay, compelling narratives, and cutting-edge graphics. Given the success of GTA V, released in 2013, expectations for GTA VI are high in terms of innovation and pushing the boundaries of the gaming experience.

The trailer introduces the first ever female protagonist of GTA series, Lucia. After getting released from jail, she and her boyfriend engage in criminal activities. The trailer also confirms that the gaming world is set up in Vice City.

The game is set to be released on 2025 for PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X/S. Rockstar Games says, “Grand Theft Auto VI heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
